My Cat and his trillion hairs

In preparation for a certain trip I'm taking very soon I got myself a new lenses for my camera. My favorite model in the world (remember this?) was caught on the off limits sofa  he loves demanding food. Who can resist his trillion hairs and those I hate you gimme food and get out of my face eyes?
I found this fatso many years ago while I was living in Brooklyn. We made a secret vow that he would always vomit hairballs on my family heirloom carpet, kill and bring to me as trophies all sorts of rodents and birds, and give serious allergies to visitors and small children. I promised I will forever be his faithful food source. So far we haven't broken any promises. We've kept our word.

Do something crazy this weekend and tell me about it, and don't forget to love and protect your pets.
I love you all :) See you later.

Cat by God, Blanket desperately trying to protect the sofa that the Cat isn't supposed to be lying on  by my mother and her wonderful linen's closet (we should visit her closet one day, seriously).

Zzzzzz

I'm getting ready to go to sleep. I'm one of those nerds that goes to sleep around 9:30 every night. As you can imagine I start opening my eyes at 6:00 in the morning. Weekends included. I love to sleep. I sleep so deeply that I usually dream that I'm flying, and I'm convinced I go places. But let's don't get too philosophical in this matter, I don't want to scare you all with my theories about dreams (we'll come back to this subject another day, I promise).
Sweet dreams lovers, I leave you with the adorable Lykke Li (seriously, can this girl get any cuter?)

I want this white dress!, I want this white dress!, I want this white dress!, I want this white dress! (throwing a tantrum this very moment, rolling on the floor, and kicking everything on my way :))

Times Square

Times Square, those 10 or so blocks packed with cheesy souvenirs and smiley tourists. The perfect place for people watching, specially when you are the one using one of the busiest sidewalks of New York City as your personal boudoir.

Have a great week and see you soon (if you've been reading my blog, you'll know that I still have to pay a visit to the ophthalmologist, my eyes are literally 8 inches away from my screen. Retro-glasses, here I come!)

Holister t-shirt, Madewell Jeans, Michael Kors Chastity Belt :), Shoes, stolen from a friend after she couldn't fit in them any more  (apparently after pregnancy your feet grow one full number, luckily for me I was born with a very standard size 7, not too big or too small, and if needed my toes expand or contract to fit any shoe. Pregnant ladies out there with cool looking shoes, don't forget about me), Coach bag, Germs on the filthy sidewalk and all over my hands and butt by the entire world.

Sea you later

It's official, my vision isn't what it used to be. I've found myself squeezing my eyes to be able to focus so many times that I just can't ignore the fact that I need glasses. I can't see shit.
If you ever saw me on the streets and I didn't say hello please forgive me, most probably my eyes didn't focus fast enough and my brain didn't process your face. That's why I've decided to smile at everyone that I "see", as you can imagine my circle of friends has expended dramatically lately.

My sometimes obnoxious positive attitude towards everything in life has me smiling at this new "obstacle". I'm excited at the fact that I might be wearing beautiful retro glasses! The old soul that lives inside of me will finally be able to rise from the ashes like Phoenix. So what do you think? what type of glasses should I be getting? (I haven't even gone to the optometrist yet, but at this point I'm sure I need some sort of visual aid).

Stay tuned, I'll be wearing something on my face other than a stupid smile very soon!

Enjoy your weekend everyone :)

SoHo-Ho

In latitudes where seasons are as intense as New York's, the weather becomes a daily topic of conversation. If you are forced to speak to someone in an elevator the first thing you say is: "How do you like this weather?" (assuming that day is one of the 30 really nice days out of the entire year), or "Isn't it miserable outside?" (and this applies to pretty much the 335 remaining days of the year). You don't ever leave your house without checking the weather (or without your cell phone, can someone remind me again how the heck did we function years ago without that extra limb called the cell phone?) because in this area of the globe Mr Temperature suffers a severe case of maniac depression. One minute you are freezing, and all of a sudden you feel like you are being cooked into a perfect medium rare term. When Mother Nature along with Mr. Temperature, God, Helios and probably the Planets are in a good mood, they reward us with the beautiful gift of a perfect day. These very few days cannot be wasted indoors under any circumstance, specially when one of your best friends calls you to meet in SoHo for a photo shoot for her website.
"Taunt by passers with your camera? sure! I'll see you there!"

Have a great week everyone :)

Must have accessory of the season: a gorgeous sweetie pie dressed in pink tutu and silver shoes.
Extra points if her dress matches your hair highlights.

Customized I LoveNewYork Tshirt stolen from your friend (you don't want it back do you?)
Vintage skirt, Miu Miu shoes that I'm planning to milk forever :)

My Easter

While exploring the other side of the Hudson River better known as New Jersey we* found a lovely little Taqueria (where we* indulged ourselves with sangria and fish tacos) and a great park overlooking downtown Manhattan.  Good thing I had my camera with me since last Sunday was such a perfect day for taking photographs. What did you do for Easter? I want to know!

Thanks for allowing me to waste your time with my thoughts, until next time :)

Come out and Play!

I'm feeling adventurous lately and have decided to step away from the safeness of my favorite photo shoot location (my building's roof) to start exploring alternative sites where I can scare not only Alcibiades but bystanders and neighbors. With the exception of some people hoping anxiously that I will slip and fall into the Hudson River, most people seemed pretty entertained to have me around acting like a clown.

I hope you like these pictures, they were done with love. I wish you all a great Easter and just remember to laugh, hug, play, and travel more often; there are still many roofs to see.

Have you ever smelled the Hudson River?

Close-up picture of my cavities. Hi there!

"Citizens of Lilliput...resistance is futile! must surrender!"

Zara blazer, Dooney and Bourke crossbody bag, Prada sunglasses, Frye boots, and My-very-own white dress that I've had for many years and can't really remember how I got it :). And in case you are still wondering, no, I'm not wearing white stalkings, that paleness on my legs is natural and I'm hoping to get rid of it very soon! (hey, at least I shaved!). All pictures by Alcibiades (Dear Alcibiades, I can't thank you enough for the patience and the countless hours of mad laughter we've shared doing this project, I love you).
